Warm and water-resistant, our Waxed Cotton Jacket is made of 100% Cotton in Conversion—which supports farmers working toward organic certification—and treated with Halley Stevensons EverWax™ Olive, a plant-based wax derived from food industry waste. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
To get the best fit for our gender-inclusive styles, if you’re usually a men’s size medium, stick with size medium or M. If women’s small is your go-to size, we suggest extra small or XS.
Please note that due to the traditional method of manufacturing waxed cotton fabric, an oily residue could transfer onto other materials. To prevent this, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with other light-colored fabrics, especially in warmer conditions.
To maintain water repellency and extend the life of your Patagonia waxed cotton gear, we suggest using our Re-Wax Tin, a plant-based, paraffin-free wax that's made using waste from the food industry.

Today, Patagonia is an industry leader in sustainability. They are working towards 100% PPC-free (a chemical harmful to the environment) DWR finishes by 2024. Through the Holdfast Collective, Patagonia will invest an estimated $100 million of profits to help fight climate change annually. Â
In September 2022, Yvon transferred ownership of Patagonia to the Patagonia Purpose Trust and Holdfast Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting the environmental crisis and defending the lands, as a way to help fight climate change.
