Based in Salt Lake City, Sarah Safavi assembles one-of-a-kind hand-cut stone patterns for her jewelry pieces, crediting nature and time for the vast range of textures and colors that inspire the designs. All stones are personally and ethically sourced by Sarah on road trips to tiny rock shops, or by hunting through classified listings from “old rock hounds” who lead her to unique stones that she’d otherwise never have discovered. Sourcing mainly from the Western US, this influence can be seen in her frequent use of turquoise, and her harkens to her attempt to tread lightly on the earth as a small business.
