The Trifecta; Snow, skate, and surf. A challenge crafted for the seasoned boarder and complemented by the immense terrain of California. Three sports, one day. Dawn to dusk, summit to sea. Community members, Max, Stevee, Spencer, and Hank have daydreamed about this sequence of shredding for as long as they can remember. With bindings strapped, trucks tightened, and decks waxed, it was a soon-to-be reality as they embarked on the first ride of the day.

SNOW - BIG BEAR, CA.

Waking up from their 5 AM alarms felt like a breeze as their collection of eagerness, excitement, and nerves had been rushing since packing the evening prior. They headed up in Max’s Sprinter van before the notorious traffic could awake and they arrived at the resort as the morning haze began to settle. After breathing in the mountain air they know oh so very well, they surged up the ski lifts for a morning of runs, bumps, and laughs.

SKATE - COSTA MESA, CA.

Before they hit the half-pipe, appetites were a-brewing and burgers were the only thing on their minds. Fueled up and ready to shred, the four tailed one another to their local spot. With a perfect forecast and a park near-empty, they were destined for an afternoon like no other. From fearless bowl dropping to effortless box scraping, the team could ride forever. But, they soon realized that there was one more session left and a sun that was closing in over the horizon.

SURF - NEWPORT BEACH, CA.

The team punched in directions for the coast with no time to waste; They were officially chasing the sun. As soon as they arrived, boards, wetsuits, wax, and fins were flying out of the van. Running on the warm sand, their eyes were set on the finish line from afar. They paddled out together and there was something special in the air that evening… The sequence of waves crashing rhythmically one by one. The sun setting seamlessly along the Pacific. The smiles of Max, Stevee, Spencer, and Hank overwhelming the golden sky from above. Simultaneously, they all realized that the challenge was complete, the day was done, and a memory was made. From dawn to dusk, summit to sea, the Trifecta was a part of their lives forever.
